My first painting today went really well. This is what I'm after with this series

of paintings, loose determined brush strokes and rich color. I did not have the sun for long

but was able to establish the light when it came.

A few more drawings and paintings of Provincetown done a few years ago , I guess i'm just getting excited about working on the Cape more than ever this summer. I'm moving away from NY up to Dartmouth MA. and can't wait to start painting the place that i love most.

Spring is in the air and i am reminded by great days painting on Cape Cod.This piece i did in the early 90's now in a private collection reminds me of Provincetown Americas first art colony full of energy and endless means of inspiration for me.
